What the nightlife is actually like

Parque Lleras is one of the hubs of Medellín's nightlife, and Haven is two minutes away. That's a real plus, and it's worth knowing before you book.

Weeknights are calmer. Weekends are a different story: several bars around us have DJs or live music, Quema Que Quema brings in salsa bands, and clubs like Salón Amador go until the early hours. Our own 360° Rooftop & Restaurant has DJs on weekends too.

If you're here to go out, it's hard to be better placed: you walk there and walk back. If total silence on a Saturday night is a must, message us before you book and we'll tell you honestly what to expect.

Why stay here

Why stay next to Lleras and Provenza

Walking saves time and rides. You can have dinner in Provenza, grab a cocktail after, and be back in your room in minutes without waiting on a car.

The area works by day too. Specialty coffee shops, Colombian design stores and contemporary art galleries are a few blocks away. Parque El Poblado, where the valley's first Spanish settlement was founded in 1616, is a short walk.

Without leaving the hotel, you have Swing Lounge in the lobby for specialty coffee from Antioquia, and the 360° Rooftop & Restaurant on the 11th floor, with a heated pool and a 360° view of the city, to start or end the night.

Getting around

Getting from Haven to the rest of Medellín

Uber, DiDi and Cabify are widely used in El Poblado, along with regular taxis. To reach other neighborhoods, especially at night, we recommend calling a ride on an app or taking a licensed taxi rather than walking.

As a rough guide, from our own city guide: about 10 minutes by car to Santafé mall, 15 to Pueblito Paisa, 20 to Laureles, 25 to Plaza Botero and 40 to Comuna 13. At rush hour, give yourself extra time.

The metro is another option: El Poblado station connects to the rest of the city and to the Metrocable. From José María Córdova airport, the drive takes about 40 minutes depending on traffic, and the front desk can arrange your transfer.
